Ingredients

Crust

  • 1/2 cup butter chilled and diced
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3-4 tbsp ice water

  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 3 large eggs beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups pecan halves

Instructions

  1. 1 In a large bowl, combine sifted flour and salt. Add diced butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. 2 Gradually add ice water, one tablespoon at a time, mixing with a fork until the dough comes together.
  3. 3 Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface. Transfer to a 9-inch pie dish, trim and crimp the edges.
