01Delete in the app

The fastest way to delete your RecipeBox AI account is from inside the app. It takes effect immediately — there is nothing to wait for and no request to approve.

• Step 1 — Open the RecipeBox AI app on your iPhone or Android device.
• Step 2 — Go to the Account tab.
• Step 3 — Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
• Step 4 — Confirm by typing your email address when prompted.

02Delete by email

If you can’t sign in, or you’d rather we do it for you, email us and we’ll delete the account for you.

• Step 1 — Email hello@recipeboxai.app from the address you use for RecipeBox AI.
• Step 2 — Use the subject line Delete my account.
• Step 3 — We’ll confirm your identity and delete the account, normally within 7 days and always within 30 days.

03What gets deleted

Deleting your account permanently erases all of the following, on every device and from our servers:

• Your account and sign-in credentials
• Your email address, name and profile details
• Every recipe you have saved, created or imported
• Your cookbooks, tags and favourites
• All recipe photos and AI-generated images you have stored
• Your referral code and referral history
• Any recipe share links you have created

Deletion is immediate when you delete from inside the app. Backups are purged on a rolling 30-day cycle.

04What is kept, and for how long

We keep only what the law requires us to keep:

• Purchase and billing records — retained for up to 7 years to meet tax and accounting obligations. These are held by Google Play, Apple or Stripe as the payment processor, not in your RecipeBox AI account.
• Anonymised, aggregated analytics — retained indefinitely. These contain no information that can identify you.

Cancelling a paid subscription is separate from deleting your account. Manage or cancel a subscription in Google Play or the App Store, whichever you subscribed through.

05Deleting individual recipes

You don’t have to delete your whole account to remove data. Deleting a recipe, cookbook or tag in the app removes it from our servers too, on all your devices.
