Ingredients

  • 4 pieces chicken breast pounded to 1/2-inch thickness
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour sifted
  • 2 cups breadcrumbs Italian-style
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 3 large eggs beaten
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground

Instructions

  1. 1 Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. 2 Set up a dredging station with three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with Italian-style breadcrumbs.
  3. 3 Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.
  4. 4 Dredge each chicken piece first in the flour, then dip in the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  5. 5 In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Fry the breaded chicken breasts until golden brown, about 4 minutes on each side. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
