Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter cubed
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour sifted
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar sifted
  • 2 pieces large eggs
  • 2 pieces egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. 1 Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease four ramekins with butter and lightly dust with flour, tapping out any excess.
  2. 2 In a medium saucepan, melt the butter and chocolate over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
  3. 3 In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, egg yolks, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. 4 Gradually add the powdered sugar and salt to the egg mixture, whisking until smooth.
  5. 5 Gently fold the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture until well incorporated.
  6. 6 Sift the flour over the batter and gently fold it in until no streaks remain.
  7. 7 Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins.
  8. 8 Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and bake for 12 minutes or until the edges are firm but the center is soft.
