Instructions

  2. 2 In a large bowl, combine the sifted flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. 3 Add cold butter pieces into the flour mixture and mix until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. 4 Stir in milk and vanilla extract until just combined to form a dough.
  5. 5 Turn the dough onto a floured surface, knead gently, and roll out to about 1/2 inch thick.
