Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour sifted
  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Cinnamon Filling

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Cream Cheese Glaze

  • 4 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar sifted
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2-3 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. 1 Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang to lift the blondies out easily.
  2. 2 In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar until well combined. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.
  3. 3 In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  4. 4 Pour the blondie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
  5. 5 In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and cinnamon for the filling. Drop spoonfuls of the cinnamon mixture over the blondie batter, then use a knife to swirl it through the batter.
  6. 6 Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
  7. 7 While the blondies are baking, prepare the cream cheese glaze. Beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract together until smooth. Add milk, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach a drizzling consistency.
  8. 8 Allow the blondies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then use the parchment paper to lift them out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. 9 Once the blondies are cooled, drizzle the cream cheese glaze over the top. Cut into squares and serve.
