Ingredients

  • 12 oz linguine
  • 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 lemon zested and juiced
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil chopped
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. 1 Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the linguine according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
  2. 2 In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. 3 Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.
  4. 4 Pour in the white wine and let it simmer for about 2 minutes, allowing the alcohol to evaporate.
  5. 5 Add the lemon juice and zest to the skillet, stirring to combine.
  6. 6 Toss in the cooked linguine, reserved pasta water, fresh parsley, and basil. Stir well to coat the pasta with the sauce.
