Ingredients
Ribs
2 racks pork ribsmembrane removed
2 tablespoons paprika
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
Smoky BBQ Sauce
2 cups ketchup
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup brown sugarpacked
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C).
2In a small bowl, mix together paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
3Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the ribs.
4Wrap each rack of ribs tightly in aluminum foil and place them on a baking sheet.
5Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours until the ribs are tender.
6While the ribs are baking, prepare the BBQ sauce by combining all sauce ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until smooth and slightly thickened, about 10 minutes.
7Remove ribs from the oven and increase the oven temperature to 400°F (205°C).
8Unwrap the ribs and brush generously with the BBQ sauce.
9Place the ribs back in the oven, uncovered, for 15-20 minutes until the sauce is caramelized.
10Remove from the oven and let the ribs rest for 10 minutes before serving.
11Slice the ribs and serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
