Ingredients

Sloppy Joe Mixture

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup onion finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup green bell pepper finely chopped
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper ground

Sliders

  • 8 pieces slider buns sliced
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded

Instructions

  1. 1 In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  2. 2 Add the finely chopped onion and green bell pepper to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.
  3. 3 Stir in the ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, yellow mustard, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.
  4. 4 Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
  5. 5 Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the bottom halves of the slider buns in a baking dish.
  6. 6 Spoon the Sloppy Joe mixture evenly over the bottom buns, then sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. 7 Place the top halves of the buns over the cheese. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil.
  8. 8 Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the sliders are heated through.
  9. 9 Remove from the oven, uncover, and let cool slightly before serving.
