Ingredients

Dumpling Dough

  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon green onion finely sliced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds toasted

Instructions

  1. 1 In a bowl, mix sifted flour and salt. Gradually add warm water, mixing until a dough forms.
  2. 2 Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  3. 3 In a separate bowl, combine ground pork, cabbage, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and black pepper. Mix well.
  4. 4 Roll out the dough thinly and cut into 3-inch circles using a cookie cutter or glass.
  5. 5 Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each dough circle. Fold over and pleat the edges to seal.
  6. 6 Heat oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Add dumplings and cook until the bottoms are golden brown.
  7. 7 Add 1/4 cup of water to the pan and cover. Steam for about 5 minutes until water evaporates.
