Ingredients

Tzatziki Sauce

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup cucumber grated
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 tablespoon dill chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground

Pita Chips

  • 4 pieces pita bread
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon oregano dried
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. 1 Grate the cucumber and squeeze out excess water using a clean cloth or paper towel.
  2. 2 In a mixing bowl, combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, chopped dill, salt, and pepper. Stir until well mixed.
  3. 3 Cover the bowl and refrigerate the tzatziki sauce for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  4. 4 Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  5. 5 Cut each pita bread into 8 wedges and arrange them on a baking sheet.
  6. 6 Brush the pita wedges with olive oil and sprinkle with dried oregano and salt.
  7. 7 Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the pita chips are golden and crispy.
  8. 8 Serve the chilled tzatziki sauce with warm pita chips.
