14 ounces firm tofudrained and pressed
1/4 cup cornstarch
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
1 tablespoon sesame seedstoasted
2 tablespoons chopped green onions
Ginger Soy Dipping Sauce
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon fresh gingergrated
1 clove garlicminced
1 teaspoon sesame oil
Instructions
1Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2Cut the pressed tofu into 1-inch cubes and pat them dry with a paper towel.
3Toss the tofu cubes in cornstarch until evenly coated.
4Heat the vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Fry the tofu cubes until golden brown on all sides, about 8-10 minutes.
5Transfer the tofu to the prepared baking sheet and brush with teriyaki sauce.
6Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, until the tofu is crispy and the sauce is caramelized.
7While the tofu is baking, prepare the dipping sauce by whisking together soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, grated ginger, minced garlic, and sesame oil in a small bowl.
8Once the tofu is done, remove from the oven and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
9Serve the tofu bites warm with the ginger soy dipping sauce on the side.
