Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 14 oz firm tofu drained and cubed
  • 2 cups snow peas trimmed
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger minced

Sauce

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water

Instructions

  1. 1 Press the tofu to remove excess water, then cut into 1-inch cubes.
  2. 2 In a large non-stick pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  3. 3 Add tofu cubes to the pan and cook until golden and crispy on all sides, about 6-8 minutes. Remove tofu and set aside.
  4. 4 In the same pan, add minced garlic and ginger. Stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. 5 Add snow peas to the pan and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they are bright green and tender-crisp.
  6. 6 Return the tofu to the pan.
  7. 7 In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and cornstarch slurry. Pour over tofu and snow peas.
  8. 8 Toss everything together until the sauce thickens and coats the tofu and vegetables evenly, about 1 minute.
  9. 9 Remove from heat and serve immediately.
