Ingredients

  • 250 grams paneer cubed
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 cup onion finely chopped
  • 2 cups tomatoes pureed
  • 1/4 cup cream
  • 2 teaspoons ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • to taste salt
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro chopped

Instructions

  1. 1 Heat oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a pan over medium heat.
  2. 2 Add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
  3. 3 Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and cook for another minute until aromatic.
  4. 4 Add the tomato puree, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook until the oil separates from the sauce.
  5. 5 Mix in the sugar and garam masala, stirring well.
  6. 6 Lower the heat and add cream, stirring continuously to blend well.
  7. 7 Gently add the paneer cubes into the sauce and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  8. 8 Add the remaining butter and mix until it melts into the sauce.
  9. 9 Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
