Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef sirloin thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup onion sliced
  • 1 cup bell pepper sliced
  • 1-2 cups Thai basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes

Instructions

  1. 1 Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. 2 Add the minced garlic and sliced onions to the pan, stir-frying for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. 3 Add the thinly sliced beef to the pan and stir-fry until the meat is browned and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. 4 Add the sliced bell peppers and continue to stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  5. 5 In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, fish sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and chili flakes.
  6. 6 Pour the sauce over the beef and vegetables, stirring well to coat everything evenly.
  7. 7 Finally, add the Thai basil leaves to the pan, stirring until they are just wilted.
  8. 8 Serve the stir-fry hot over steamed jasmine rice.
