Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef flank steak sliced thinly

Sauce Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch dissolved in 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger grated

Instructions

  1. 1 Cook the jasmine rice according to package instructions and set aside.
  2. 2 In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, dissolved cornstarch, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Mix until well combined.
  3. 3 Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef and stir-fry until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove beef from the skillet and set aside.
  4. 4 In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add broccoli florets and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, until they are bright green and crisp-tender.
  5. 5 Return the beef to the skillet with the broccoli. Pour the sauce over the beef and broccoli, and stir to combine. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.
