1 pound beef flank steaksliced thinly
2 cups broccoli florets
1 cup jasmine ricerinsed
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Sauce Ingredients
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarchdissolved in 2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 teaspoons sesame oil
3 cloves garlicminced
1 teaspoon fresh gingergrated
Instructions
1Cook the jasmine rice according to package instructions and set aside.
2In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, dissolved cornstarch, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Mix until well combined.
3Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef and stir-fry until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove beef from the skillet and set aside.
4In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add broccoli florets and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, until they are bright green and crisp-tender.
5Return the beef to the skillet with the broccoli. Pour the sauce over the beef and broccoli, and stir to combine. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.
6Serve the beef and broccoli over the cooked jasmine rice. Garnish with sesame seeds or sliced green onions, if desired.
