Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken breast cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 cups broccoli florets washed
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds toasted
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger grated

Sauce Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch dissolved in 2 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. 1 In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and dissolved cornstarch to make the sauce. Set aside.
  2. 2 Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. 3 Add chicken pieces to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, approximately 5-7 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. 4 In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. 5 Add broccoli florets to the skillet and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until they are bright green and tender-crisp.
  6. 6 Return the cooked chicken to the skillet. Pour the sauce over the chicken and broccoli, stirring to coat all pieces evenly.
  7. 7 Continue to cook for 2-3 minutes, until the sauce has thickened and everything is heated through.
  8. 8 Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds over the top before serving.
