Ingredients

Teriyaki Sauce

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce low sodium
  • 2 tablespoons mirin
  • 2 tablespoons sake
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger grated

Instructions

  1. 1 In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, mirin, sake, honey, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  2. 2 Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for about 5 minutes, or until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  3. 3 Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour half of the cooled teriyaki sauce over them. Let them marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  4. 4 Heat olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. 5 Remove the salmon from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off, and place skin-side down in the skillet.
  6. 6 Cook the salmon for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and golden brown.
