Ingredients

Instructions
1Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Place the red bell pepper on a baking sheet and roast for about 10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the skin is charred and blistered.
2Remove the pepper from the oven, place it in a bowl, and cover with plastic wrap. Allow it to steam for 10 minutes, then peel off the skin and discard the seeds.
3In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, roasted red pepper, tahini, minced garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper.
4Process the mixture until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
5Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more salt, lemon juice, or olive oil to achieve your desired flavor and consistency.
6Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl and drizzle with a little extra olive oil for garnish.
7Optional: Sprinkle with a pinch of smoked paprika or chopped fresh parsley.
