Ingredients
Main Ingredients
4 fillets salmonskinless
1 pound asparagustrimmed
Bourbon Glaze
1/2 cup bourbon
1/4 cup brown sugarpacked
2 tablespoons soy saucelow sodium
2 tablespoons honey
2 cloves garlicminced
1 teaspoon fresh gingergrated
Instructions
1In a small saucepan, combine bourbon, brown sugar, soy sauce, honey, garlic, and ginger. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves and the sauce thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
2Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
3Brush the salmon generously with the bourbon glaze, reserving some for later.
4Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
5While the salmon is baking, prepare the asparagus by steaming them in a steamer basket over boiling water for 4-6 minutes, until tender but still crisp.
6Remove the salmon from the oven and brush with the remaining glaze.
7Serve the bourbon-glazed salmon hot, alongside the steamed asparagus.
